This is a new group formed to reach out to people with limb loss and empower them through education, support and advocacy. Everyone with limb loss is invited, including family, and friends plus those concerned about future limb loss. Details: Friends of Animals of the Coastal Empire Inc. will hold its 10th annual auction on Friday, September 12th from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. at Savannah Station. This year's theme is "STUDIO 54 PAWS". Admission is $45 at the door and includes fine catering from local chefs, open bar, silent and live auctions, and disco dancing. Friends of Animals of the Coastal Empire, Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that distributes funds from its annual auctions to existing non-profit animal rescue and welfare groups in our area. This year's proceeds will be distributed to Bryan Animal Caregivers, Islands Feral Cat Project, Liberty Humane Shelter, PAWS, Pet Assistance League of Savannah, Save-A-Life, Second Chance Dog Rescue, Humane Society of Chatham/Savannah and SNAC Clinic. barbara@billdurrence.com.
